WANTED: Binary Volunteers

Fancy helping behind the scenes at Binary Festival? Want to learn more about event planning, production, research and marketing? Then become a Binary Volunteer!

You will work closely with Festival Co-Director Jane Leah and Festival Producer Jan Carlyle on Binary: a brand new, lively, two-day gathering taking place 24 and 25 May 2016 in Liverpool, UK. You'll facilitate the celebration of, and connections between, communities of innovators, inventors, leaders, makers and creators of our future.

It's a great opportunity to get to know the inner workings of Liverpool's creative and digital scene, network with key players, and make new friends.

As part of the Binary Festival team, you will put the city's blossoming digital community centre stage, by working on:

  • Marketing: promoting the event in advance through your networks;
  • Content creation: copy writing, filming, photography;
  • Event logistics: preperation for and assistance on Day One's Binary Gatherings, in the Baltic Triangle: showcasing the great work and talent of the digital sector within the Baltic Triangle and across Liverpool through events, workshops and parties;
  • Event logistics: preperation for and assistance on Day Two's Binary Keynotes, at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology): inspiring talks from great speakers -- including poet Lemn Sissay and live coder Dr Sam Aaron -- with new insights from the worlds of performance, technology, web, digital media and mobile.

Essentials: you must be over 18 years of age, and must be available for at least one day. Enthusiasm and can-do attitude crucial!

Think you could be a Binary Volunteer? Take five minutes to fill in our application form (click here) before Monday 2 May 2016.

We're looking forward to working with you!
